There are seven Harry Potter books, in total. Each one of them telling the story of a young boy cursed by fate and evil but over coming it all with the power of love and friendship. The seven books are

This series of books have been somewhat controversial as they incorporate magic into the storyline, which makes lots of religions very nervous. Harry Potters life is chronicled from birth to his late teens. We learn early that he is the orphan of magical parents, who are killed by the villain Voldemort, and who when trying to kill Harry as a very young baby is turned into a powerless small creature who must fight to regain his powers. This series is not for the faint of heart and it has captured the attention of millions of young and old. There are many great life lessons in the book and we watch Harry Potter, battle his past and the expectations of the whole wizarding world in conjunction with typical adolescent problems..

"Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone".
The first book in this incredible series is "Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone". The book opens up with the celebration of the down fall of the tyrant of dark magic Voldemort and his followers. Harry Potter is whisked away as a baby and is taken to live with his aunt and uncle, much to their chagrin. As Harry grows he finds himself being able to do things that others can't do and don't understand. On Harry's 11th birthday he discovers that he is the son of two powerful wizards, that where killed by Lord Voldemort. On that night Lord Voldemort also tried to kill Harry, but due to old magic and the power of love, the curse "Avada Kedavra' back fired on Lord Voldemort and he was rendered powerless and a slug like creature. On his 11th birthday a very large man comes to get Harry in the Middle of the night and explains that he possesses magical powers, and that he has been accepted to the most prestigious school for children of magic... the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry ‘Hogwarts’.
Harry embarks on the adventure of a lifetime. He makes friends with two students Ron Weasley and Herminie Granger. The three of them begin their fight against , the dark lord and his followers. "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"
The second book in this series is "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". Harry Potter, can’t wait to get back to Hogwarts, to see his friends. But just a few weeks before school starts, he’s surprised when a house elf named Dobby shows up in his bedroom with a warnings for Harry: That he must not return to Hogwarts! However Harry does return to School.
As the school year continues, the mysterious voice that only Harry can hear thorough the school hallways is getting more menacing, and soon the students of Hogwarts are being petrified He, Ron, and Hermione come up with an plan to disguise themselves as Slytherin students so they can question Draco Malfoy (the son of a Voldemort follower). They’re disappointed when they find out from Draco that he is not the one they’re looking for.
The quest gets personal when Hermione is attacked and petrified by the monster. Events come to a head when Ron’s sister, Ginny, is kidnapped and taken down into the Chamber of Secrets. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
In this book Harry Potter is faced with the fear of meeting the man who is responsible for his parents murder. He has been told the Sirium Black his godfather had sold out his parents to Lord Voldemort, told Lord Voldemort where to find them. Sirius Black then escapes from Azkaban Prison and the guards which are called dementors are now at the gates of Hogwarts looking for Sirius. When Harry then comes close to the dementors, he passes out.
Back at school, Harry’s new defence against the dark arts teacher shows him how to produce a patronus charm. That charm acts like a shield and fends off the dementors and they now cannot take your life and emotions. When Harry discovers the truth about Sirius Black, that he is not only his God Father but that he did not betray his parents it is a race against time to clear Sirius Black and have the real killer brought to justice!!!

In Harry's 4th year at Hogwarts, Hogwarts is hosting the Tri Wizard tournament! Three Schools get together and choose 1 champ from each school to compete in three challenges. But when Harry's name comes out of the goblet as the fourth champion, he finds out that by law he must now participate. So now Harry must try to find out who put his name in the Goblet of Fire and why!
As the challenges go on, it become more and more obvious that someone is trying to get Harry killed. At the third challenge, we discover that the cup is a port key and that Lord Voldemort is responsible for everything. Lord Voldemort’s servant Wormtail steals Harry's blood and brings Lord Voldemort back to strength and they battle, Harry and Lord Voldemorts wands connect and you see the past and some of the people that Lord Voldemort has killed.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
After Harry’s dual with Lord Voldemort, Harry is sent back to live with the Dersleys for the summer. Harry is very frustrated with the fact that he has not heard anything from his friends or from Dumbledore. He has been totally isolated from the world of magic all summer. As summer ends Harry is at the park with his cousin when they are attacked by Dementors. Furthermore after using magic under age and in front of a muggle, he gets a letter saying that he has been expelled from school. Then a few weeks before school starts, five people come to rescue Harry and bring him to the head quarters of the "Order of the Phoenix" Of course Dumbledore comes to his rescue... And Harry is allowed to go back to school! Where he finds out that Lord Voldemort is after a weapon that he did not have last time! Something that will make him stronger than ever, something that can help him return to power…

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
This book begins, as everyone has come to the dark realization that Lord Voldemort has returned...It is dangerous times for both muggles and wizards!
Harry and Dumbledore go to a little village to find an old Hogwarts professor, to convince him to come back and teach potions at Hogwarts and help Dumbledore keep an eye on things. After a few moments and some magical persuasion, Professor Horace Slughorn agrees to come back and teach at Hogwarts.
When Harry gets back to school he is surprised to find that Professor Snape has finally gotten the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. Harry has been working with Dumbledore, all year learning Voldemort's past. Dumbledore has a very unique way of having Harry see the past and Harry now knows the other reason Professor Slughorn has been brought on board.
On the first day of potions class, Harry who did not want to take the class and refused to by the text book, when offered one from Professor Slughorn finds a book that at one point belonged to "the Half-Blood Prince" (I am not going to tell you who the Half Blood Prince is :) This book has all kinds of tricks of the trade and helps Harry become the best potion maker in the class, making him even better then Herminie, winning him on the first day of class a `Good Luck` potion.
Harry suspects Draco Malfoy of being a Death Eater and because of that he attempts to warn everyone throughout the year of his suspicions. Draco manages to sneak Death Eaters into Hogwarts using a pair of vanishing cabinets, that he spent the year fixing. Draco was supposed to kill Dumbledore, but finds he is unable to.
Snape turns up after Draco cannot kill Dumbledore and he kills Dumbledore. Hogwarts is probably going to be closed but Harry announces he won't be returning anyway; he will attempt to finish the work he and Dumbledore started, destroying Horcruxes so Voldemort can be destroyed!

Harry has his seventeenth birthday, and with that he has finally come of age. Harry sets off with Ron and Hermione to find and destroy the last of Voldemort’s Horcruxes.
On the journey they have very little food, and they have no plan. One night Ron and Harry get into an epic fight and Ron leaves. Harry and Hermione are extremely hurt by the fact that Ron could abandoned them like that. After months of debate, they finally agree to revisit Godric’s Hollow in search of clues, but find out it was just a trap.
Ron comes back few weeks later and saves Harry’s from drowning, and in the lake is the Gryffindor’s sword. With it they manage to destroy the locket. They then realize that they need to go back to Hogwarts to find one of the last few Horcruxes. But when they get there everyone thinks Harry is there to save the school and take it back from under the power of Voldemort. After an epic battle Harry learns that he must sacrifice himself to save the world.He ends up in Kings Crossing, where he meets Dumbledore. Who answers all his questions and give him the choice of going back or not. Of course Harry goes back to finish off Lord Voldemort.

Interesting Facts about Harry Potter
There is so much excitement around the new Harry Potter movies that will be coming out in November 2010 and July 2011. Now the latest rumours are that the next two movies will be in 3D!!!!
As someone who is a huge Harry Potter fan and loves 3D movies, I am totally excited to hear about this. With the opportunity to actually see people flying at you, feeling like you truly in the movie, would be a great way to end off the Harry Potter Movies.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter
The Harry Potter collection is amazing, but the crowning jewel is the new theme park in Orlando Florida. Set to open spring 2010, it is truly going to be the ultimate fan experience. From the opportunity to drink butter beer at the “Three Boom Sticks”, or a chance to go to “Honey Dukes” for some sweet treats. You can also send a message back home by “Owl Post”. This true Harry Potter fan is just through the roof with excitement. The opportunity to go and buy an actual Hogwarts school uniforms, or a real wand, has put this Harry Potter fan over the moon!!
Not only can you shop and eat at your favourite places. There is also a chance to ride a Hipogriff, tour the Hogwarts castle where you will visit the Griffodors common room, the room of requirements and the defence against the dark arts room. This will truly be a thrilling adventure for all. You can also battle a dragon, from the Triwizard tournaments.
Not only but if your looking for a job at the theme park, they are taking applications!!!

Luna lovegood quotes
Luna Lovegood is a student at Hogwarts, she is in the Ravenclaw house. She is the daughter of Xenophilius Lovegood, editor of the magazine The Quibbler. She is a little odd, but she becomes a very good friend of Harry Potter. Now to explain some of the things Luna Says...
Moon Frogs: is a creature believed to exist by the Lovegoods. A person was once interviewed for the Quibbler who claimed to have flown to the moon on a Cleansweep Six and brought back a bag of Moon Frogs as proof.
Blibbering Humdingers: is one of the many strange creatures that Luna Lovegood believes exists though not many others do. However it is possible that she made up the existence of this creature in order to create a diversion for Harry Potter get some peace and quiet after the end of the Second Wizarding War.
Crumple-Horned Snorkacks : is allegedly a spirit of fire which gallops and burns anything in its path. This is one of the many creatures Luna Lovegood asserts exists, but which is not documented anywhere else. She once claimed that the former Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge had an army of these creatures at his command, though given his ineptitude for leadership, this is unlikely. She also claimed there were plenty of eye-witnesses to their existence.
Heliports: is yet another creature that Luna Lovegood and Xenophilius Lovegood believe exists though not many others do not. The Nargle is known to infest mistletoe and to be a mischievous thief[2]. Luna Lovegood claims that her Butterbeer cork necklace keeps the Nargles away

Gulping Plimpies: is a breed of Plimpy, that is repelled by Gurdyroots. The Gulping Plimpy is one of the many strange creatures that Luna Lovegood believes exists though not many others do. Luna was once claimed to be fishing plimpies by her father, Xenophilius when she was meanwhile being held prisoner at Malfoy Manor. The breed of Plimpy can also be made into Plimpy Soup, which Xenophilius claims that everybody wants to try
